Everywhere you look, the world seems to have gone Green. The Green movement has moved from environmental advocacy groups and college campuses to having a substantial effect on all aspects of the economy, business and culture. American society, once known for greed and consumption, is now reevaluating its role on the planet, and people from all walks of life are working to become more sensitive and responsible citizens of Earth.
Being green, however, is more than just recycling cans or buying organic produce. To make a true impact, systems of government, trade and commerce need to make massive changes. Should these changes be government regulated? Can capitalism inspire greener companies? Are the presidential candidates planning to pass new environmental policies? Will an economic downturn hinder or improve green movements? What is the U.S. doing or not doing that other countries have achieved?
To understand the broad effect of the Green movement and all the related questions, turn to WSB's environmental experts and advocates. Leaders in a variety of fields, these speakers approach the green movement with an eye toward future sustainability and a holistic look at how being Green affects all aspects of modern life.
